Review of Double Mirrors by Dylan Robert Tauber

Wow. This is an intense read. Not only lengthy, but it really makes you think. Mr. Tauber's beliefs are several steps away from mine, but that does not bother me. We all have to work out our faith with fear and trembling.
There were times I read sections repeatedly to try and understand where he was coming from. I had to remind myself at times that parts of this work are sort of a stream of consciousness journal, so it doesn't flow like most books.
The writing is raw. I felt like I should put it down sometimes because it was very personal and real.
I'm rating it a four because it was hard to follow, yet I did not feel like throwing in the towel and stopping all together. In a way, the lack of editing made it more like reading someone's journal/diary. All in all, it was an interesting and intriguing read. It didn't change my views on faith, but it did help me see someone else's spiritual journey through their own eyes.
I would like to see a description on the order page.
The book does mention is it best when "combined with the website: [DoubleMirrors.com], updated continually, and the Project Double Mirrors CD ROM, which includes multimedia, animation, hundreds of images, and an original ambient/techno soundtrack." I did not utilize these tools during my reading.

Ideal for a short, animated film

Read (or listen to) the story of 21-year-old Son of Waves and his meeting with the new Messiah, David. Learn how, together with a pod of twelve dolphins, the Korean Tae-Kwan-Do team, and a group of Shin Bet bodyguards, they save the world from evil.
This is just a small part of the author's universe, which you can visit via his multiple websites. He displays a powerful imagination and a depth of compassion for mankind. The book is illustrated with his own photographs and digital art, while the audiobook includes his electronic music and art. This screenplay would make a great short, animated film as a vehicle to spread the message of peace and love. "Love and you will live."
I received this book in return for an honest review.
"Dylan is like no one I've ever come across. His mind exists on a whole different plane. He's written a short script that's a true representation of his unique heart and soul, which I could easily see, in my mind's eye, as the premise for an animated film or more."

"Son of Waves" as the author calls his central character or himself is a musician and the story revolves around him. He makes music and the story proceeds exploring his ventures both as a student of Columbia University and beyond that. The plot and narration is unique in an intriguing way. It explores communication of Son of Waves with his guardian angel and sets the mystique all around.
"We will find you 11 other "Dolphins"- you are Dolphin 1 and these other human / Dolphins in your soul group will aid you in your journey."
The book features original photography that makes it all the more appealing and instigates curiosity of the reader. At one point in the starting I tried to find out if it is based on true incidents. Even if it reads like fiction it seems like it's about the authors own journey.
Written as a amalgam of screenplay and short story, rather something in-between the book definitely exposes the writers creative instincts. The writing style is different and "Son of Waves" is a quick read. This I assume is the second part of a duology and would keep an eye out for the first part too.

This book is a compilation of two theories that author Dylan Tauber has designed. The first one as a student of Columbia University in 1994 and the other one later in the year 2000.
The book aims at connecting yourself with your spiritual being and puts forward deep ideas to ponder on. His very perspective is dynamic. He describes man's search for God and truth to be inexhaustible and infinite and then goes on enlightening us with thoughts of Plato in the context. He rightly states that we as humans continuously keep on reflecting on our existence and believes it is our past and the present that shapes it.
He puts forward that it is important to be in touch with our ethereal self and that a "man's spiritual experience as being rooted in self reflection".
The stance and outlook of the author is really amazing and thought provoking. It's insightful and engrossing. I really loved reading it.
